Root vegetables need to be washed. The washwater usually produces a silt / soil laden which settles into mud pits. The effluent is abrasive and suitable for our hard iron Gorman-Rupp T Super T series. Vegetables can be transported in water and our Cornell food (hydrotransport) pumps are suitable for this purpose.
